Authorized agent
Someone you empower to submit privacy requests on your behalf.

Under the CCPA and several other state laws you may authorise another person or a registered business to submit deletion and access requests for you. The business may require proof of your signed permission, and may ask you to confirm the authorisation directly.
Why it matters to you
This is the legal mechanism that lets a removal service act for you. It is also why any legitimate service must verify your identity first — an agent authorisation without identity verification is a tool for erasing somebody else's trail.
