DROP (Deletion Request and Opt-out Platform)
California's centralised platform for deleting yourself from every registered data broker at once.

Operated by the California Privacy Protection Agency. A California resident submits one request; every broker registered with the state must process it. Brokers must poll the platform at least every 45 days. Over 300,000 Californians had filed by spring 2026.
Why it matters to you
No other state has anything comparable. For a California resident it is materially more effective than filing 603 separate opt-out requests, each of which a broker may simply deny.
What to do
File at the CPPA platform. Then verify that brokers actually complied — DROP does not do that part for you.
