Google Results about you

Google's tool for requesting removal of search results that expose your contact details.

In more detail

A dashboard in your Google account that scans results for your phone number, email address and home address and lets you request removal. As of February 2026 it also covers government-issued ID numbers such as passport, driver's licence and Social Security numbers, and has streamlined removal of non-consensual explicit imagery.

Why it matters to you

It does not delete anything from the source website — it removes the result from Google, which is how people actually find things. It is free and takes about ten minutes.

What to do

Use it. It is the single highest-leverage free action available to most people.
